Since we are starting a new year ('09), we felt that it would be appropriate to highlight the lives of some of our newest members of St. Mary's, Jeremy and Stephanie Hanlon (see below for the complete list of all our newest parishioners). Jeremy and Stephanie are also new to Manayunk, new to St. Mary's and newly married (is that enough "new" for you?) They, along with several other parishioners and their families, were officially announced as new parishioners during 10am Mass on December, 21st, 2008.

Jeremy and Stephanie met in their hometown of Altoona, Pa while working on the same cardio-thoracic intensive care unit at Altoona Regional Hospital. They fell in love and felt the call to marry and did so on August 8th, 2008 at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona. Congratulations!!

Stephanie graduated from The Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing. Jeremy graduated from St. Francis University in Loretto, PA in 2005 with a Master’s degree of Physician Assistant Sciences. They are both now continuing their education here in the Philadelphia area.

They decided to start their married life in Philadelphia as Jeremy has recently joined the Army Dental Corps and started Dental School at Temple University. Stephanie is working locally as an RN and taking classes at Villanova University toward her Master’s degree. They are both deeply in love with the Lord and each other and are very excited to be a part of the community here at St. Mary's.

They both enjoy the outdoors and sports and both have strong Catholic values and acknowledge that it takes three to get married, husband, wife, and God. We welcome you both and know that you will love it here in Manayunk and at St. Mary's!!
